This year marks a milestone that feels both surreal and incredibly humbling: 20 years since I opened the doors of my chiropractic practice in Jeannette. It feels like just yesterday that I was purchasing the practice from Dr. Constantine, a seasoned chiropractor beloved by the community.
It was August 27th, 2004, when I made the leap and officially became a business owner. Dr. Constantine retired one month later and that’s when I found myself truly on my own.
Well, not quite on my own. I owe so much to the families who trusted me, the “new guy,” to continue caring for their health. Many of Dr. Constantine’s patients stayed with me, and I cannot express how much that meant. They took a chance on me, and because of them, I was able to build the foundation of what has now become a two-decade journey.
Looking back, I realize I never took the time to celebrate those early anniversaries. I missed my one-year milestone, then my five-year, ten-year, and even my fifteen-year anniversaries flew by. It wasn’t out of lack of pride but simply because I was engrossed in the work, dedicated to my patients, and continuing to learn and grow. Now, as I reflect on 20 years in business, I recognize just how fast time has flown by.
In 2009, my wife Stephanie joined me full-time, bringing massage therapy to the practice and handling all of our billing. Her role in the office is indispensable, and she quickly built her own loyal clientele. Her talent, dedication, and care have been an amazing addition to the practice, and working alongside her has enriched both our personal and professional lives. This journey has not been a solo one, and Stephanie’s partnership is only one example of how deeply grateful I am for the support I’ve received.
I’ve been fortunate to be a part of this community – a community that has stood by me through the transition from Dr. Constantine’s practice to mine. I am deeply appreciative of the families who entrusted me with their care and allowed me to serve them. I’ve had the privilege of watching young patients grow into adults, graduate from high school and college, get married, and even start families of their own. Being a part of these life moments is truly rewarding and reminds me why I love what I do.
As I approach this 20-year anniversary on September 27th, 2024, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Thank you to everyone who has walked through my door, supported my practice, and allowed me to be a part of your healthcare journey. The past two decades have gone by so quickly, but they have been full of meaning, growth, and connection.
Here’s to many more years of serving this wonderful community, alongside Stephanie, as we continue to provide chiropractic care and wellness services with gratitude, dedication, and the utmost respect for the trust you place in us.
To those who have been with me since day one, to those who joined along the way, and to those who are new to the practice: I cannot thank you enough for making this milestone possible.
Here’s to the next 20 years!
